Future Focus Networking Activities
Orlando Brewing Company Tour
1:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Gather at the Gaylord Palms Convention Center entrance at 1:00 p.m. for transportation to the Orlando Brewing Company, Florida’s only certified organic brewery.
You’ll tour the facility, located near downtown Orlando, and see how the owners, along with volunteers, create their fantastic local beers in large vats and how they store them throughout the year. Afterward, you’ll return to the brewery’s tap room — a popular local hangout — to taste from four to eight different Orlando Brewing beers. The tap room keeps more than a dozen beers on tap at all times. Ales range from light and easy drinking to deep, dark, robust porters. All the beers are fresh and unpasteurized.
While sampling the company’s products, you’ll learn interesting beer trivia, including how to tell the difference between beers made with a lot of hops and those made with fewer hops.
Ingredients used in crafting Orlando Brewing ales are grown without insecticides, bioengineering or irradiation. The company’s Orlando Brewing Blonde, Pale, Red and Brown ales, along with Olde Pelican, Blackwater Dry Porter and European Pilz, are officially certified organic by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Golf Outing at Celebration Golf Club
1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Gather at the Gaylord Palms Convention Center entrance at 1:00 p.m. for a 1:30 p.m. departure to Celebration Golf Club.
You’ll play a scenic nine-hole round on the award winning course designed by the father of American golf architecture, Robert Trent Jones, and his son, Robert Trent Jones, Jr. The course is the centerpiece of Celebration, the highly acclaimed master planned community located 30 minutes from downtown Orlando in Osceola, Florida. Originally developed by the Walt Disney Company, the town has been featured in dozens of travel and golf publications worldwide.
Built on beautiful natural wetlands, the Celebration course will give you a relaxing, genuine Florida golf experience. It features an abundance of native wildlife and is unobtrusively bordered by estate homes built in architectural styles commonly seen in the Southeast in the early 1900’s. You’ll feel like you’re playing golf at a private, small town country club at the turn of the century.
