Time to Gather Nominations for the Connect 2010 Awards

As exciting as it is to attend the Connect Awards dinner each year, winning one of the awards is even better.

Has your company shared innovative ideas with the CSC’s users’ community? Have you identified and added useful functions to your CSC system? Have you found a new use for existing CSC software functionality? Are you on the leading edge of an industry advance that features CSC’s software or services?

If so, we want to hear your story. Nominate your organization for a Connect award today.

Award Categories

Industry Leadership Award — This award goes to an organization that implemented a solution or service to solve a particular business need in such an innovative way that they set a leading example for the industry.

Innovation Community Award — Candidates for this award have partnered with CSC on an Innovation Community project that ended up benefitting not only the company itself, but also the wider customer community.

Project Management Leadership Award — This honor recognizes an organization that has partnered with CSC to adopt and implement project management best practices in an innovative manner to solve a particular business need. The winner will have demonstrated industry leadership and set an example for other organizations.

Quality Management Leadership Award — This category recognizes an organization that has set a leading example for the industry by working with CSC to implement quality management best practices to solve a particular business need in an innovative manner.

Technical Excellence Award — This award goes to the organization that presents the best example of system engineering and architecture, system integration, or technology management in conjunction with a CSC solution.  The winner will have exhibited high degrees of innovation, leverage and value which have been proven in actual business use.

Nominees for the five categories listed above will automatically be placed in the running for these additional honors:

Well Connected Product Awards — Awards are presented in multiple CSC product categories.   

The Connect Award — The ‘best in show’ award goes to the nominee that has most clearly demonstrated leadership through innovation across all five award categories.

Submit nominations online between February 16 and July 23, 2010. Online voting will take place between August 16 and August 31, 2010. Results will be announced at CSC’s Connect for Property and Casualty.

Award Nomination Instructions

Nominating your organization for a Connect 2010 Award is simple. Just click the link to the CSC Connect 2010 Awards Nominations site and follow the instructions.

To create a winning award submission:

• Describe your project in no more than 300 words.
• Explain the objective your company was trying to achieve and the result or expected result.
• Make sure you provide accurate and complete contact information.
• Once you have completed your nomination, make sure to select “Done” on the “Thank You” page.

Within 48 hours of submitting the nomination, you should receive a confirmation e-mail. Scroll down to the 2009 winners and select the award category to see last year's award winning submissions.

Don’t Forget WikonnecT — The WikonnecT Champion Awards are selected by CSC based on individual and company usage and contributions to WikonnecT. If you are not already contributing to WikonnecT, it’s time to get started.

• An individual award recognizes the person who most effectively and enthusiastically embraced the collaborative spirit of WikonnecT by contributing to the ongoing community conversation in WikonnecT postings.
• A group award honors the company that has made the best use of WikonnecT’s collaborative features. This award will factor in the percentage of company employees that access WikonnecT data, the percentage that post to WikonnecT, and the company’s use of one or more WikonnecT Project Communities.

Timeline

• February 16 – July 23: Submissions accepted through the Connect Awards Web site
  
• August 16-31: Online voting by your industry peers
  
• September 12–16: CSC’s Connect for Property and Casualty, Nashville, Tennessee
  
• September 14: Winners announced at CSC’s 2010 Connect Awards Dinner.
